This noble variant seems to bring FreZe to Europe as well
As an experienced reader of this site, you will have probably heard of the Wuling Hong Guang Mini EV. The tiny city cube has been offered extremely cheaply in China since July 2020 and has the Tesla Model 3 there replaced as the most popular electric car.
As FreZe Nikrob should he come to Europe too.
Now Wuling, in which the General Motors Group is involved through a joint venture, has presented a more noble version of the Spartan Hong Guang Mini EV: Curtain up on the "Macaron". The name says it all, as the three exclusive pastel colors are reminiscent of French pastries.

Two versions with new exterior colors and improved safety features are available in China at prices between 37,600 and 43,600 RMB, depending on the size of the battery. That is the equivalent of between 4,800 and 5,600 euros.
Wuling has teamed up with PANTONE UNIVERSE to develop three fashionable new shades for spring: avocado green, lemon yellow and white peach pink. A white or black roof is also optionally available.
The safety of the Hong Guang Mini EV Macaron has been increased by a standard driver airbag as well as the anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution, tire pressure monitoring system, pedestrian warning system for low speed and other functions.
However, the extremely small 12-inch tires have remained. The car is also equipped with a reversing camera and rear parking sensors. The interior has not been fundamentally changed, but has been made a little friendlier.
The macaron retains the 2 + 2 seating arrangement. The backrests of the second row of seats can be folded down for more flexibility. With a length of 2,917 millimeters, a width of 1,493 millimeters, a height of 1,621 millimeters and a wheelbase of 1,940 millimeters, it was of course primarily intended for the city.
This sporty variant is so far only a study
The electric vehicle has a maximum output of 20 kW (27 PS) and a maximum torque of 85 Nm. It reaches a top speed of 100 kilometers per hour and has a range of up to 170 kilometers on one battery charge. The Hong Guang MINI EV Macaron can be charged from a normal 220 volt socket. Owners can remotely monitor the status of the vehicle battery.
Incidentally, the macaron weighs between 665 and 700 kilograms. With a look at the new daytime running lights on the Wuling, Dartz and FreZe appear to be to have exerted some influence.
There they are preparing the Wuling for sale in Europe and they have already spoken of a kind of luxury version that has all the elements of the macaron. In addition, the car called FreZe Nikrob will only be available here with the 13.8 kWh LFP battery. 14,999 euros were named for the more noble variant.
