“Peugeot is already a pioneer in the field of electromobility,” says Chefin Linda Jackson. Throughout the year 2021, each sixth vehicle sold in Europe had been electrified by the Lion brand – in November but already every fifth. This is evidence of the right offer to the customers and for the demand for e-cars continue to wax.
The e-rifter can accommodate five or up to seven people and is equipped with a 100 kW (136 hp) electric motor and a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery that enables a WLTP range of 280 kilometers. The e-traveler for up to nine persons is available in three lengths and with two batteries of 50 and 75 kWh, which also drive a 100 kW (136 hp) strong electric motor. With the large battery, up to 330 kilometers are possible. To enable faster shuttle rotations or to facilitate longer trips, the 50 kWh battery of all transporters can be charged to a quick charging station in only 30 minutes, according to Peugeot to 80 percent.
How Next is, Peugeot also works at the next generation of electrification. This is how the first E-Expert is currently running hydrogen with plug-in fuel cell from the tape. The also 100 kW (136 hp) strong electric vehicle with four tanks can be filled with hydrogen in just three minutes. The range is 400 kilometers to WLTP.
Also in the car range, electricity is gaining importance. The Peugeot 308 just on the market will be the first model of the brand that shows the entire range of electrified technologies. According to the manufacturer, plug-in hybrids are already available, fully electric versions for limousine and combi will be available from the coming year.
